October 12th, 2007 Last day for comment sheets.
October 5-8th, 2007 Rockton World Fair. We have a booth. Come by for a visit. We are looking for volunteers to man the booth for a couple hours each shift. Come by and help hand out flyers and sell T-shirts.
September 15-16th, 2007 St. George Apple Festival.
August 15th, 2007 The PUBLIC question and answer meeting will be held: Wednesday August 15th at 6:00pm at the South Dumfries Community Centre in St. George.
August 9th, 2007 The PUBLIC question and answer meeting will be held: Thursday August 9th 6:00pm at teh Beverly Arena Community Centre in Rockton.
July 18th, 2007 An Association Update Information Meeting to be held at the Beverly Arena in Rockton on HWY8. This is not to be confused with the meeting Mr.Leach had promised that would happen in July.
July 2007 Due to our numbers Mr. Leech has agreed publicly to add only ONE more session. A special, more formal, question and answer PIC for the stakeholders. We will post this information as soon as time and location are confirmed. He will only answer questions that have been submitted to stopthe424@gmail.com ahead of the meeting so that he and his team can adequately prepare. We want to make sure that he can not use his constant rhetoric of not having the data in front of him.
June 20, 2007 Brantford - Best Western Brant Park Inn 4:00pm to 8:00pm 19 Holiday Inn Dr (at Wayne Gretzky Parkway and Highway 403), Brantford, ON Good turn-out. Plenty of questions; not too many straight answers. Audience got a little rude on two occasions and Mr. Leech stopped the question and answer period refusing to continue. After a short private discussion by one of our committee members Mr Leech continued. Mr. Leech went on for an extra 90 minutes past the 8:00pm cut-off answering perhaps a dozen extra questions. He kept encouraging stakeholdes to fill out the comment cards and mail them in. PLEASE DO SO.
June 19, 2007 Cambridge - Galt Curling Club 4:00pm to 8:00pm 1610 Dunbar Rd, Cambridge, ON N1R 8J5 Thank you all for showing up. We had to move the meeting out into the parking lot due to over capacity of the hall's fire regulation of 500 people. All are glad the rain held back.
June 13, 2007 Sheffield - Sheffield Community Centre 8:00pm start First public meeting of the Stop the 424 Association. Standing room only! Thank you all for showing. We couldn't be any more pleased.
